InnovMetric offers a software customization service that maximizes productivity and facilitates the deployment of 3D metrology solutions in a production context. During the integration phase, the PolyWorks® interface is optimized and a powerful, easy-to-use macro programming language is used to automate inspection processes and interactively guided workflows to improve the efficiency of measurement in the workshop.

 

We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic and passionate about technology to join our team as a Software Customization Technician.

 

Under the supervision of the Software Customization Coordinator, and in collaboration with the Application Specialists, the Software Customization Technician will take part in integration and customization projects by developing the functionalities needed using macros.

Responsibilities

This position offers exciting technical challenges, such as:

  • Acquiring in-depth knowledge of our PolyWorks® software solutions
  • Analyzing customer needs and developing a programming plan
  • Optimizing the user interface
  • Programming macros or plug-ins to automate workflows
  • Controlling the quality of integration before implementing it
  • Documenting the solutions developed
  • Participating in the application testing and updating phases

Qualifications

  • Collegial diploma in computer science or other relevant degree (mechanical engineering, automated production)
  • Three (3) years of experience related to the position
  • Mastery of various programming languages such as C ++ and VB/VBA
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English (functional)
  • Available for travel between Canada and the United States (up to 10% of the time)
