We are seeking a dynamic CPA to help us evolve our systems and processes to support the growth of our organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Affairs and collaborating closely with the Director of Finance and Financial Information Systems, you will lead the financial accounting team, ensuring compliance with ASPE and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all operational accounting functions (payroll, accounts payable and receivable, etc.)
  • Manage the consolidation of subsidiaries and satellite companies
  • Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial statements
  • Coordinate the various stages of the external audit
  • Hire, train, develop, and retain department staff
  • Collaborate daily with the finance and financial information systems management, as well as with business sectors and support functions
  • Manage process risks under your supervision and ensure the effectiveness of internal controls related to financial information (ICFI)
  • Monitor performance indicators of systems and processes under your supervision, and manage continuous improvement projects aimed at their optimization
  • Develop and control financial ratios and performance measures of the organization
  • Oversee regulatory obligations of processes under your supervision, including taxation

Qualifications

 

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting
  • Be a certified CPA with at least 5 years of experience in external audit
  • Accumulate over 15 years of experience, including at least 5 in management
  • Master ASPE and be familiar with IFRS
  • Have experience in Canadian taxation and international transfer pricing
  • Master the risks of accounting and financial processes, as well as internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
  • Understand the risks and controls applicable to service companies for the issuance of auditor reports (SOC)
  • Demonstrate relational intelligence, pragmatic professional judgment, and a collaborative approach
  • Possess intellectual curiosity and a critical, analytical, and synthetic mind
  • Excel in communication and outreach
  • Master information technologies
