Overview

Based in the Chennai region, and under the supervision of the General Manager of PolyWorks India, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:  

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with PolyWorks India’s customers and prospects in South India 
  • Visit customers and participate in tradeshows 
  • Perform basic software demonstrations 
  • Generate, qualify, follow and close sales opportunities 
  • Assist customers in software evaluations 
  • Help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with the product 
  • Facilitate deployment of PolyWorks India’s Metrology and Collaborative Suite products 
  • Collect the customer wish list and feed it to our development team 
  • Develop your own account strategies and contribute to enterprise-wide strategies 
  • Identify new applications at existing customer sites to create new sales opportunities 
  • Collaborate with other departments when needed 
  • Respect our rules of engagement by protecting bundle sale deals for our partners
  • Utilize all the marketing activities (such as Seminars, VIP seminars exclusively with key accounts, Webinars, Email campaigns, trade shows) to attain sales goals 
  • Focus on the yearly target and achieve all the numbers year on year 
  • Keep a tab on all the competitor's activities, developments, promotions and report these regularly 
  • Maintain and update the CRM Database (Salesforce) on a regular basis 

Qualifications

  • Be a strong team player who demonstrates enthusiasm and excellent listening skills  
  • Demonstrate a consultative sales approach, showing a self-driven will for helping users  
  • Demonstrate autonomy, discernment, initiative and determination  
  • Show the desire to learn about the software and the metrology industry  
  • Hold a degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field  
  • Have at least 4 to 6 years of experience as a Strategic Sales Representative, dealing with major accounts (particularly with high-technology products) 
  • Be proficient in written and verbal communication in English & Tamil 
  • Be available and willing to travel frequently 
  • Have experience in 3D metrology and/or knowledge with PolyWorks (an asset)
